How to use Copytables

1 Hold the command key and click table cells to select them

2 Click the extension icon on the toolbar to open the menu

3 Select the Copy icon and click Copy

4 Paste the table in your spreadsheet program or text editor

Note that Copytables only works with actual HTML tables.
Generic tabular pages and online spreadsheets are not supported.

Select with a keyboard shortcut

Press control ^ option ⌥ S and simply drag over a table to select.

Copy to the clipboard

In the Copy tab in the Popup menu, select the format you want to use and click Copy

You can also press control ^ option ⌥ C to copy.

Formats

You can copy your selection in various formats:

  • Formatted : as seen of the screen, with all formatting. Use this if you want to copy a table into a text editor.
  • CSV : Comma Separated Values, a common standard text-based format. Use this to copy into a spreadsheet application.
  • CSV transposed : CSV format with columns and rows swapped.
  • HTML : HTML source code of the table. Use this if you want to insert the table in your website code.
  • Markdown : a nicely aligned table, suitable for Markdown and Text documents.
  • Infobox

    The Infobox displays useful information about selected numbers: their sum, average, maximum and minimum values.

    You can configure the infobox, or turn it off, in the Popup menu
    under Infobox
